Demand for electricity is growing. This growth, along with expectations of more reliable electric service, are putting quite a strain on the power grid.
The grid that feeds our cities and industries, is made up of high voltage lines, also known as transmission lines.
As demand continues to increase, utilities must build additional transmission lines to ensure that power is always available.
Even as the nation struggles with economic recession, Oklahoma is growing. Oklahomans are using more and more electricity every year. And, we’re adding new wind farms that require transmission lines.
