Helping the Teachers
We are pleased to help schools and teachers in the community. The following programs showcase our efforts to support energy education:
“OG&E Safety Town”: to schedule this program for 4th grade contact OGECOMMUNITYRELATIONSTEAM@OGE.COM.
“McReady”: an engaging presentation on how to stay safe during severe weather presented by OG&E Lineman Larry, Rick Mitchell, KOCO and Ronald McDonald during the month of April. Contact the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management at McReady@oem.ok.gov to schedule the program at your school.
LivingWise® for Kids Program: LivingWise® is our custom designed energy curriculum for 5th and 6th graders in Arkansas and Oklahoma Public Schools. The program is designed to help students learn about energy conservation and efficiency in order to educate and encourage their families to make improvements at home. The Product Kit includes the following:

- Energy Cost Calculator
- FilterTone® Alarm
- High-Efficiency Light Bulb
- Water Temperature Card

Teacher Grant Program: OGE Energy Corp. awards teacher grants up to $1,000, and they are available to teachers at public schools in OG&E and Enogex service territories in Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. Any creative project, which deals with reading, mathematics or science, will be considered. Information about teacher grants is provided during the last semester of the school year.
