Living Our Core Values
OG&E’s values are rooted in serving and growing our communities while providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy to everyone in our service area. We offer programs and partner with social services agencies, nonprofit assistance groups, and state and federal agencies to help customers gain and maintain access to the energy they need to power their lives.

Energizing Our Communities
Customers count on their electric service to power their homes and businesses. Our programs and local partnerships provide service to the most vulnerable populations in our service area allowing us to provide all of our customers with affordability and reliability.

Our Impact
Energy Efficient Homes
More than 40,000 customers have lowered their energy bills through our Weatherization Program.
Lend-a-Hand
Our customers have donated more than $317,000 in bill assistance to customers who need help through our Lend-a-Hand program.
Social Service
Together with our employees, we raised more than $1.3 million in 2024 for the 12 United Way organizations across our service area through employee contributions, bake sales, car shows, auctions, and a company foundation match.

Supporting Our Neighbors
Since 1986, our Lend-a-Hand program has helped OG&E customers give back to the community by adding a few dollars to their payment. Through our partnership with the Salvation Army, OG&E customers’ Lend-a-Hand contributions are disbursed to help pay for electricity, gas, fuel or firewood for our neighbors who need a helping hand.
Silver Energy®
Our most experienced customers – those 65+ years-young – can take advantage of our Silver Energy Program, a suite of offerings, services and partnerships designed to increase comfort, safety and security for seniors while saving them money on their energy bills.

Residential Energy Efficiency
Reduce energy costs while increasing energy efficiency by weatherizing your home. Through this program, we’re able to offer more to households with an income of $60,000 or less.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) logo
Low Income Assistance Program
Our Low-Income Assistance Program (LIAP) gives qualified Oklahoma customers a $13 per month credit on their bill. Customers must be qualified for the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
Eligibility & Timeline
The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation is subject to Internal Revenue Service rules and regulations governing private and charitable foundations.
To qualify for grant funding consideration, your organization must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a U.S.-based IRS 501(c)(3) qualified charitable or educational organization or an accredited K-12 educational institution
  • Be geographically located where OG&E operates
  • Serve communities without discrimination against any individual on the basis of race, creed, gender, age, sexual orientation or national origin
  • Have a method by which to measure, track, and report program outcomes and specific results that demonstrate measurable community impact
The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation generally does not fund grants for programs and projects associated with, but not limited to, the following:
  • An individual person or families
  • Building or Capital investments and improvements
  • Dinners, luncheons or other forms of indirect support
  • Organizations that are not 501(c)(3) organizations
  • Political parties or candidates
  • Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine. The Foundation will consider funding faith-based organizations which provide services to all clients regardless of denomination
  • Sports teams/events such as tournaments (other than Special Olympics)
  • Organizations offering goods or services to employees as a benefit of grant approval (e.g., participation in golf tournaments, reservations at fundraising dinners, tickets to special events, etc.)
Applications are accepted year-round; however, funding decisions are made three times a year. Applications are evaluated three times per year during committee meetings based on the following dates:
Oct. 1 - Jan. 31 (Committee Meeting in March)
Feb. 1 - May 31 (Committee Meeting in July)
June 1 - Sept. 31 (Committee Meeting in November)

Fan Donations

Through our long-standing partnerships with the Salvation Army, Latino Community Development Agency, Areawide Aging Agency, and Community Action Agency, we provide electric fans to low-income and elderly residents in communities across our service area in Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
