We foster STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) skills through support of hands-on technical career partnerships. We work with high schools, universities, and career technology centers to provide internships for students to learn and apply STEM skills and knowledge in addition to supporting camps and events that introduce students to careers in STEM.
We work with universities to offer Positive Energy scholarships to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse workforce and continue to build a pipeline of future OG&E workers.
OGE Positive Energy Scholarship - Awards $15,000 per year (for up to 4 years) for high school seniors who commit to attending college in Oklahoma or Arkansas and pursue a STEM-related degree. The scholarship is administered through the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
OGE Energy Scholarship - Awards up to $5,000 for first-year college students studying Power Transmission and Distribution Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology and is administered through OG&E and Oklahoma State University.
